Some time ago I was approached by Svetlana Evstigneeva, the founder of the wedding dresses brand of the same name, and asked me to decorate and improvised runway at Metropol hotel, one of the most luxurious hotels in the center of Moscow, to showcase her new collection.
The most important requirements were:
– boho style
– decorating the models’ entrance point
– using the hotel’s vintage furniture
– NOT build the runway, but rather creating a space for the models to pass through.

There was just a couple weeks to create the project, but we made it.
The models entered through an improvised, heavily decorated marquee, and walked to the fountain, decorated with flowers and cushions. Most of the elements were made by me, by hand, in my workroom. And one of the most amazing details: the designer’s friends gave us real Persian silk rugs to decorate the runway!

Take a look at the results.
